PARIS: At the 61st edition of Salon International de l’Agriculture 2025 in Paris, Pakistan’s Ambassador, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, highlighted the nation’s commitment to enhancing agricultural and animal health collaboration.
During her visit, Ambassador Baloch met with French Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Année Genevard, and Dr. Emmanuelle Soubeyran, Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). Their discussions focused on fostering partnerships to tackle global agricultural challenges, promote animal health advancements, and ensure food security.
The Ambassador also explored cutting-edge agricultural innovations, engaging with French and European experts and entrepreneurs. She discussed advancements in seed technologies, agritech innovations, and the development of resilient farming systems. The visit underscored Pakistan’s dedication to adopting sustainable farming practices, fostering genetic innovations in livestock breeding, and advancing peri-urban agriculture. Through these collaborations, Pakistan seeks to position itself as a global leader in agricultural development and innovation.
She also toured the Expo, exchanging insights with French and European experts and entrepreneurs to explore partnerships in seed technologies, agritech innovation, knowledge sharing for sustainable and resilient farming, development of peri-urban agriculture and genetic innovation in livestock breeding.
