Every public figure no matter how dearly loved has few hate or negative comments under their social media posts and they eventually end up developing ‘thick skin’ as coping mechanism. Anoushey Ashraf, however has decided to call “Disrespect” out.
Anoushey responded to post comparing several local actors to those of Netflix’s hit show on Instagram. Post had lot of comments on how certain actors are now too old or too young or too fair or too dark and derogatory remarks set RJ off.
“It’s very serious question, so ask yourself why you dislike your actors so, so much and then come back with reply that explains your wise stance on hate you throw at our poor actors. I just want to know. I’m very intrigued because according to psychology, this is clear reflection of self-hatred that community has. They don’t like their own lives and hence cannot begin to be nice to anyone else who may be doing bit more in life, especially on public front,” she added while asking people to contact her in her DMs if they have any “Interesting perspectives” to share.
A fan coming to her defense, asked Anoushey to “Let it go” and not let trolls demean her because they do not deserve her attention. Anoushey agreeing with user, replied that she is aware of how she shouldn’t let this affect her but she’s actually interested in understanding mad phenomenon now because according to her, trolling is worse in Pakistan.–Agencies
