KARACHI: Seven-day Pakistan Youth Festival at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi has ended with colours. Minister of Culture and Education Sardar Ali Shah as chief guest said that 64 percent of Pakistan’s population is youth. Our youths are performing in youth festival organised by President Arts Council Ahmad Shah, this is his encouragement to counter intolerance and extremism in this country. We have to prepare, we have to get out of this complex that only doctors, engineers and officers are successful, they can be Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam and Hadiqa Kayani. Our Indus Valley culture has got traces of dance, in this context, education department has decided to appoint seven and half hundred music teachers.

“I don’t see any institution in whole country which is working like this for promotion of arts and culture, I congratulate all youth, participate in extra-curricular activities along with curricular activities, he said.

Ahmad Shah said that all children involved in Special Children’s Special Festival performed brilliantly. Nighat Chaudhry and Wahab Shah encouraged children in dance finals, we started youth festival sixteen years ago, our entire team has worked hard, you all in arts council have been making whole week vibrant with this energy.  We have lack of employment and IT training will be started very soon for those who cannot afford it, world cannot stop you after God’s will.

We are grateful to schools, colleges and university of Karachi without support of all of you, this festival would not have been possible.

We will conduct competitions based on different dimensions of art. We have trained hundreds of trainers.  Ali Azmat, Sahir Ali Bagga, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Natasha Baig, Wahab Bugti, Ahsan Bari, Arman Rahim and Afaq Adnan lit up festival with magic of their voices and received applause from audience
