Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the Star Nation Jersey at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Monday. The ceremony, led by Mr Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, marked a significant step as the national team prepares for the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Speaking during the kit unveiling event, Ashraf stated that the Pakistan cricket team is in great spirits and combination, and he is hopeful that the team will lift both the Asia Cup and the World Cup.

"I have talked to the national team; a great combination has been made. I feel we will succeed in the Asia Cup and World Cup. Once the Asia Cup is over, we will focus on the Champions Trophy 2025," Ashraf said. About the jersey, Ashraf stated that it represents the heroes and fans of Pakistan cricket.

"The Star Nation Jersey bears witness to the enduring bond between our cricketers and the passionate fans who stand by them through every match. This jersey encapsulates our rich cricketing heritage and the luminous future that awaits," he further added.

Pakistan will start their Asia Cup campaign against Nepal in Multan on August 30. After the Asia Cup, Pakistan's team is planning to depart for the Indian city of Hyderabad on September 28. Pakistan will commence its World Cup campaign on October 6 with a match against the Netherlands.
