Pakistan values relations with Uzbekistan: Gohar Ijaz

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Commerce and Industries Dr. Gohar Ijaz said Pakistan values its relations with Uzbekistan adding brotherly ties have given new dimensions.

He said Uzbekistan is making progress by leaps and bounds under visionary leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Addressing meet to mark 32nd Independence Day of Uzbekistan he said Uzbekistan is gifted with natural resources.

Country has expertise in agriculture sector as well therefore both Pakistan and Uzbekistan can cooperate in this particular sector as well.

Minister said he had visited Uzbekistan many times and therefore can say on authority that there is genuine and strong will among Uzbek people and government officials to further solidify relations with Pakistan.

Ambassador Aybek Osmanov said Uzbekistan and Pakistan enjoy excellent brotherly relations adding these relations shall further be strengthened in days to come.

He said, it is an honour and exceptional privilege for me to be posted for third time in this great country Pakistan and to be humble servant of re-connectivity between our two regions and nations.

‘I`m extremely grateful to President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, government of Pakistan, Pakistan Army Navy and Air Force for great achievements we gained in our connectivity’.

He said in last few years our brotherly cooperation has been elevated to level of strategic partnership due to confident political dialogue, strengthening trade industrial and technological projects as well as active military cooperation between our Armed Forces.
