Pakistan to observe mourning day in solidarity with Palestine

ISLAMABAD: Government announced to observe 'mourning day' across Pakistan today in solidarity with Palestinian brothers and sisters and to categorically condemn Israel's state-sponsored terrorism.
Decision was taken in consultative meeting of allied parties regarding deteriorating situation in Palestine presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Leaders and senior representatives of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples' Party, Balochistan Awami Party, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Pakistan Muslim League Zia and National Party attended meeting.
In meeting, it was also decided to perform funeral prayer in absentia of Ismail Haniyeh Chief of Hamas Political Bureau, who was assassinated in Tehran, in entire country after Friday prayers. Resolution to express full solidarity with Palestine will also be tabled in Parliament.
Participants of meeting jointly expressed their grief and anger over ongoing Israeli cruelty and brutality on people in Palestine for last nine months. They strongly condemned Israeli atrocities and expressed full solidarity with Palestinian brothers and sisters.
Meeting agreed that incident was deliberate conspiracy to sabotage efforts to stop ongoing atrocities on Palestinians and establish peace in region. Such events destroy world peace and create more tension in region.
Prime Minister termed ongoing Israel's state-sponsored terrorism in Palestine as tragedy for Muslim ummah. He said silence of international community over ongoing Israeli barbarism in Palestine is matter of grave concern. He said assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh is condemnable. He said Israel grossly violated resolutions adopted by world bodies, including United Nations Security Council and decision of International Court of Justice.
PM said that stopping Israel from this genocide has become big challenge for modern world. He, however, appreciated countries, that condemned ongoing Israeli oppression in Gaza.
In meeting, it was decided that Pakistan will continue delivery of relief goods to Palestine and will take effective measures for medical assistance of oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters, under which injured Palestinians will be brought to Pakistan for treatment.
Meeting also decided that Palestinian medical students will be admitted to medical colleges of Pakistan on an aid basis to continue their education. Participants demanded that entire international community must adopt clear and blunt position to stop this cruelty and brutality, otherwise status of international laws and institutions will remain question mark for future generations.
