Pakistan ‘strictly neutral’ on Russia-Ukraine conflict: FO

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch announced that Pakistan is following “Strict neutral policy” on matter of Russia-Ukraine conflict.
During weekly press briefing, FO spokesperson clarified that Pakistan had not supplied arms to either side of clash. She added that prior to conflict, Pakistan and Ukraine shared close defence ties. Spokesperson reiterated, however that Pakistan remained neutral regarding this conflict.
Addressing evacuation of Pakistanis from Sudan, spokesperson said that plane carrying 149 nationals reached Islamabad in morning, while countrymen who reached Jeddah from Sudan were also being brought back to nation. Baloch detailed that another two planes carrying 200 Pakistanis arrived from Sudan. “Our plan to bring Pakistanis home safely is working.
Spokesperson said that atrocities continued in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. She stated that properties of Kashmiris Syed Shakeel Yusuf and Syed Shahid Yusuf were seized and both individuals were already in India’s custody. “Pakistan has been victim of terrorism. We have evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism in Pakistan,” she said. She added that Indian foreign minister’s remarks on matter were “Unnecessary and baseless”.
Baloch stated that Indian Commander Kulbhushan Yadav was found involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan and was arrested and that his arrest was proof of Indian terrorism in this country.
Spokesperson said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will go to Britain for coronation of King Charles III on May 6.
