ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan is ready to hold trade talks with India. Speaking exclusively on private TV programme, he said, “Whenever we look to emerge as economic power, efforts have been done to drag country to doldrums. Truth and Reconciliation Commission should be formed pertaining to economy.”
Dar asked, “Question is that how economy that was placed on 24th number had reached 47th number?” Talking about constitutional amendment, he said, “We are not in hurry to go for constitutional amendment.”
He lashed out at opponents, saying, “We are not inept like our predecessors. Why action had not been taken against those who were involved in terrorism in previous government.”
“It doesn’t matter if Constitution amendment is not discussed before new judge,” he said. Dar maintained: “All problems surfaced due to 2011 public gathering in Lahore.”
“It is not good sign to feel that you are superior to country,” he stated. He said, “Today, country is witnessing drop in inflation as economy is on verge of revival.”
Highlighting situation of Palestine and Lebanon, Dar said. “We are assisting Palestinians at governmental level. Premier had established relief fund for Palestine and Lebanon.”
