Pakistan playing decisive role for stability in region: German Minister

ISLAMABAD: German Minister of State at Federal Foreign Office Dr Tobias Linder visiting Islamabad from March 4 to 7, 2023 held political talks with counterpart Minister of State Hina Rabbani Khar, Minster of Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman and Minister of Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar, says press release issued by German Embassy HERE.

In these meetings, issues of mutual concern were discussed in depth, from bilateral relations to regional politics. Dr Linder underlined strategic role of Pakistan saying that as Pakistan is facing multitude of challenges, Germany stands firmly by people of Pakistan.

He said we share key interests, Pakistan is playing decisive role for stability in region. “I am here to continue our dialogue. We want to deepen our close bilateral partnership and intensify our cooperation in various areas including in fight against climate change, by which Pakistan is deeply affected as last year’s catastrophic floods have shown”, he added.

Dr Linder also met with Chief of General Staff, Lt. General Muhammad Saeed to exchange views on regional security and stability. Dr Linder held talks with representatives of think tanks as well as with journalists and human rights activists. He paid visit to Pakistan Monument.
