Pakistan out of risks of default, economy on path of recovery: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that due to difficult decisions taken by coalition government, Pakistan was out of risks of default. He said that government was taking all possible steps to further strengthen national economy and was striving with priority measures to reduce price hike and provide relief to common people.
Expressing these views talking to delegation of Jefferies, a leading global investment banking and capital markets firm Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar was also present PM regretted that unfounded rumours were being spread about economy of Pakistan and reprehensible efforts were being made to create havoc. He said coalition government without caring for political price, saved country from repercussions of previous four years’ maladministration by former government. He reiterated that government was making efforts to reduce foreign trade deficit and providing all possible facilities to foreign investors. Welcoming delegation, he invited firm to open its office in Pakistan. Delegation termed economic recovery of Pakistan as good sign under his leadership that faced economic challenges in an effective manner and put country on path of economic stability.
