Pakistan Literature Festival from today at Al-Hamra Lahore

Karachi: Pakistan Literature Festival will be inaugurated today at Alhamra Arts Council Lahore by caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, a press released said. Minister of Information and Culture of Punjab Amir Mir and Minister of Culture and Education of Sindh Syed Sardar Shah will also participate. There will be more than 50 sessions of festival, which will include entertainment, comedy, music, dance, literature, education, economy, book launch, discussion with country’s leading intellectuals and artists and other serious sessions.
Anwar Maqsood, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Aamir Mir and Executive Director of Al Hamra Zulfiqar Zulfi along with President Arts Council Pakistan Karachi Ahmed Shah said in press conference at Al Hamra that for last 15 years, Karachi Arts Council has been organising Urdu Conference, now they are introducing new brand. Pakistan Literature Festival is starting from Lahore. He said that people from Delhi and Chandigarh used to come to study here. He said that there are various sessions on education, economy and poetry.
He said that we are connecting young generation after Lahore, Gwadar, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Peshawar. This festival will be held in Islamabad and Karachi after that it will go to four different cities of America in Houston, New York, Chicago Silicon Valley, Dallas and Toronto. Ahmed Shah said that under leadership of Anwar Maqsood, we are all going to whole world.
Anwar Maqsood said in current situation, everyone is dying and organising festival by Ahmed Shah is praiseworthy.
Zulfi’s hard work in organising this festival commendable. Provincial Minister Aamir Mir said Ahmad Shah is soul of Pakistan Literature Festival event. Anwar Maqsood is legend of our country. Zulfiqar Zulfi said we worked day and night for this festival We will fully support Aamir Mir’s leadership.
