Pakistan cricket team shows solidarity with Palestinians amid Gaza war

LAHORE: Players of Pakistan cricket team have showed solidarity with people of Palestine as death toll in Israeli air strikes surged past 3,000 in Gaza after bombing a hospital. Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Usama Mir and others, who are part of the national squad for the Cricket World Cup 2023, shared a photo of the Palestine flam on social media platform X simultaneously.
The expression of solidary comes as at least 500 Palestinians, including children and women, were martyred after Israeli forces attacked the Al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital in Gaza city. The death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has surpassed 3,300, with over 13,000 injured since Oct. 7, the Palestinian health minister said on Wednesday. "The number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip exceeds 3,300 Palestinians, while the number of injured is more than 13,000," Health Minister Mai al-Kaila said at a press conference in Ramallah, adding that these are estimated numbers due to the dire situation in the Gaza Strip as a result of continued Israeli bombardment.
