Pakistan, China reiterate need for maintaining peace in region

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and China reiterated need for maintaining peace and stability in region and enhancing military to military cooperation.

This came at meeting between Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Commander of Peoples’ Liberation Army (PLA) China at PLA Army Headquarters in Beijing.

Earlier on arrival at PLA Army Headquarters, Army Chief was given warm welcome and was presented with guard of honour. Army Chief witnessed demonstration of operational capabilities of PLA Army troops. He praised high standards of training and professionalism displayed by soldiers. General Asim Munir will hold further meetings with military leaders in China to enhance longstanding relations between two militaries.
