Rawalpindi: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry said 250 million people of Pakistan cannot be left at mercy of PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Democratic Alliance.

Addressing press conference along with former PTI leaders Maulvi Mahmood and Imran Ismail outside Adiala Jail, Fawad said that they will not allow PDM government to freely operate, adding that it was their responsibility to get innocent arrested PTI workers released.

Under circumstances, he said, PDM government cannot be left unopposed. “We are still standing with our principles and ready to play role for betterment of country,” he added.

Fawad stated that discussions and negotiations have been conducted with former PTI leadership regarding present situation and matter at hand. “Contact has been made with Asad Umar, Asad Qaiser, Ali Zaidi, Pervez Khattak and others. All leaders are determined to street country out of these problems and make stable Pakistan and we hope to succeed in it.”

Fawad said that they will continue efforts for political stability in country. “Sole responsibility for current political and economic crisis lies with PDM. Now Pakistan has to move towards permanent and stable solution, for which Shah Mahmood Qureshi is also ready to play role,” he added.

“We have had good discussions with all our former colleagues and we hope that good solution will emerge.”

Former Information Minister said that what happened on May 9 should not have happened, but after that many innocent people have also been arrested and put in jails. “It is our responsibility to get them released and we will fulfil it,” he said.
