Pakistan announces 17-man squad for Blind T20 WC

Islamabad: Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) unveiled a 17-member roster for the forthcoming Blind T20 World Cup in India ysterday. Under the captaincy of Nisar Ahmed, the national squad includes Zafar Iqbal (vice-captain), Riasat Khan, Shahzaib, Mohammad Salman, Mohammad Asif, Fakhar Abbas, Badar Munir, Moin Aslam, Anees Javed, Shahzaib Haider, Kamran Akhtar, Mohammad Arshad, Matiullah, Mohammad Safdar, Akmal Hayat, and Mohsin Khan. Two reserve players and four match officials will also accompany the team for the event, which will take place from December 4 to December 17.

According to a press release from the PBCC, the players were chosen based on their performance and physical health in recent National Blind Cricket competitions. The Men in Green will arrive in India on December 4 and will engage in a round-robin format against six other participating teams. Pakistan will face archrival India on December 7 after facing South Africa the day before. The Green Shirts will face Sri Lanka, Australia, and Bangladesh on December 11, 13, and 14, respectively. Both semi-finals will take place on December 15, with the tournament final taking place on December 17.
