Pakistan a miracle of 20th century: DC Central Taha Saleem

KARACHI: A dignified ceremony was held to mark 75th anniversary of Pakistan Day in Deputy Commissioner Central District office. Deputy Commissioner and Administrator Taha Saleem along with Municipal Commissioner Central Zahid Hussain Rand, Dr. Qaiser Assistant Commissioner Hazem and others hoisted flag following which audience presented anthem. Reciting holy word and naat khwani was held besides cake-cutting.
Taha Salim congratulating countrymen on 75th Independence Day said that Pakistan is a miracle of 20th century. May he be given opportunity to work for development of Pakistan with sincerity and honesty, he prayed. He commended efforts of district administration and Municipal Commissioner, teachers and students of Central Municipal schools for organising Independence Day celebration. He said that administration and officers and staff of all departments worked hard day and night to organise programmes of Eid-ul-Azha, Ashura-e-Muharram and Independence Day.
They are part of professional life. We should face difficulties with courage instead of panicking and despairing of them. Earlier, Akhtar Sarosh, son of Pakistan Movement activist Kaif Banarsi highlighted role of Muslim children during Pakistan Movement and said that Muslim children also believed that with unshakable faith in leadership of Quaid-i-Azam. They were ready to shed their blood. In ceremony, students of schools managed by central municipality highlighted importance of freedom and role of ancestors in movement of Pakistan. They presented national songs and speeches. Event was hosted by director of advertisement Shimoona Sadaf. City dignitaries, academic and literary figures participated in ceremony.
