Pak, KSA, Turkiye discuss potential collaboration in defence technologies: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: In second meeting of Trilateral Defence Collaboration held at GHQ, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye discussed potential collaboration in defence equipment technologies including research and development.
According to statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), three sides reaffirmed salience of “Combining intellectual, technical, financial as well as human resources of three friendly nations towards achievement of shared objectives and attainment of self-sufficiency in defence domain”.
Acknowledging their historical relations, three countries reiterated strategic intent to increase scope of trilateral cooperation and need to enhance pace of collaboration in pursuit of common goals, military’s media wing said.
Statement added that it was decided today that three nations would convene their next meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during World Defence Show.Event is scheduled to take place in February.
During his two-day visit to Kingdom of Bahrain, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir had engaged in key meetings with Bahraini dignitaries, including His Majesty King, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Field Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa (Commander of Bahrain Defence Forces) and Gen Shaikh Mohammad bin Isa Al Khalifa (Commander of Bahrain National Guard).
