Pak-Iran cooperation critical to regional eco growth, stability: Mohsin Dawar

Islamabad: Chairman of National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Mohsin Dawar and Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Syed Muhammad Ali Hussaini exchanged views on deepening Pak-Iran relations and making joint efforts to uplift regional economic growth, promote trade, contain conflicts and address humanitarian crisis across region.
Mohsin Dawar stressed that synergies between Pakistan and Iran were critical to regional stability and sustained economic growth. Iran’s Ambassador Ali Hussaini remarked that Pakistan-Iran ties were deep-rooted in shared culture, geography, history and challenges. Meeting took place at Parliament House and matters pertaining to evolving situation in region particularly Afghanistan, regional instability and potential for cooperation to accelerate regional economic growth came under discussion.
Both sides reaffirmed commitment to strengthen people-to-people relations and underlined need to exchange parliamentary delegations as a tool to cement bilateral relations amidst dynamic regional and global challenges.
