LAHORE: Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman emphasized on Sunday that the liberation of Kashmir can only be achieved through jihad.

Naeem highlighted that many have dedicated their lives to the freedom struggles of both Kashmir and Palestine. He cited the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar as a symbol of sacrifice, noting that Sinwar spent 23 years in prison and emerged as a beacon of independence.

He declared October 27 a Black Day, marking the date when India unlawfully occupied Jammu and Kashmir through military force.

Criticizing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Naeem stated that Modi has undermined Kashmir's legal status and kept its people in lockdown for decades.

He reminded national leaders that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah referred to Kashmir as the "jugular vein" of Pakistan, urging them to advocate for the Kashmir cause with courage. He also condemned the Shehbaz government for its weak stance on the issue of Kashmir.
