One Belt One Road project to go from Gwadar to Afghanistan: Chinese CG

KARACHI: Chinese Consul General Yang Yindong said that Pakistan-China Economic Corridor project is progressing rapidly. Qatar has also expressed interest in joining CPEC, while One Belt One Road project will run from Gwadar to Afghanistan to promote trade.
During an informal conversation with journalists here, he said that any country can invest in CPEC. In response to question, Chinese Consul General said that impression about CPEC is wrong that only Chinese engineers or experts are working in this project, but in current situation, certain number of Pakistani engineers and experts are also working in CPEC.
He said that along with CPEC, Pakistan and China are also working to change lifestyle of local people in Balochistan, especially local population of Gwadar has been provided with various basic human facilities while providing clean drinking water. Project is in final stages of completion.
Chinese Consul General said that work on project of installing solar lights in Gwadar city is also going on rapidly.
In response to question, he said that construction of international airport in Gwadar has been completed, state-of-the-art project is going to be inaugurated very soon. Ying Yindong mentioned ‘One Belt One Road’ expansion programme in this project and said that One Belt One Road project will go from Gwadar to Afghanistan, which will promote trade in region.
