OIC Secy Gen due in Pakistan on Dec 10

ISLAMABAD: Secretary General of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha will lead five-member delegation to Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir from December 10-12, Foreign Office said.
Visit taking place at invitation of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be his first country visit since assuming office in November 2021. During his visit, Secretary General will call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and hold delegation-level meeting with Foreign Minister. OIC Secretary General will also meet with Minister of Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs, Minister of Information Technology and Minister of Commerce. He will also visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Foreign Office said during bilateral talks, OIC Secretary General and Foreign Minister would discuss inter alia issues on agenda of OIC including Jammu and Kashmir dispute, Islamophobia and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan. “It will also be an opportunity to exchange views on vital issues of economic, social and technological cooperation among OIC member countries,” he said.
