Ogra rejects SSGC’s request to install 25,000 new connections

ISLAMABAD: Ogra has rejected request for installation of 25,000 domestic meters on natural gas.

According to report, 25,000 connections were pending due to ban of federal government. Gas Company had demanded Rs 28 million for installation of connection. According to Sui Southern Gas Company, 25,000 domestic connections have been pending since federal government’s ban and they should be allowed. Due to government ban for fiscal year 2024-25, estimates for new meters have not been calculated, said company. Sui Southern Gas Company has requested permission for 350 commercial gas meters and 120 industrial connections on RLNG. Ogra stated that they would consider new connections in light of government’s policy.
