NWaziristan skirmish: Soldier laid to rest with full military honour: ISPR

Rawalpindi: The funeral prayers of Sepoy Irshad Ullah, who embraced martyrdom while bravely fighting terrorists in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, have been offered at district Karak of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said in a statement yesterday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), senior serving and retired officers and soldiers, relatives and a large number of people attended the funeral.
The martyred soldier was laid to rest with full military honour, said the ISPR.
"The Armed forces of Pakistan stand resilient against terrorism and reaffirm the resolve to eradicate this menace of terrorism at all costs," the ISPR added in the statement.
A soldier was martyred in an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said military’s media wing in statement. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that fire exchange took place between terrorists and security forces in Mir Ali’s general area and troops fought bravely and effectively engaged terrorists’ location. “However, during an intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Irshad Ullah (age 29 years, resident of District Karak), having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat. Sanitisation of area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in area,” said ISPR. Military’s media wing vowed that security forces are determined to eliminate menace of terrorism and that sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen their resolve.
