Nusrat Bhutto’s death anniversary observed

LARKANA: 11th death anniversary of Mother of Democracy, Begum Nusrat Bhutto was observed at Bhutto House in Naundero. Local party leaders held Quran Khuwani and prayed for departed soul. No top PPP leader took part in her anniversary commemoration despite her massive sacrifices.

All top leaders, including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Ladies Wing chief Faryal Talpur, Sindh President Nisar Khuhro and others remained absent from main event and only relied on journalists to carry their messages on eve. In Naundero, Arshad Shah Rashdi, Anwer Buriro, Mehran Narejo, Bashiran Mohil, Shabana Domki, Subhan Khuhro and others participated. Free food was distributed among participants. Later, they visited grave in Garhi Khuda Bux and offered fateha.

In Larkana, PPP-SB workers and followers of Fatima Bhutto also observed her death anniversary separately at their Kennedy Market office. They held Quran Khuwani which was participated by Inayat Umrani, Inamullah Narejo, Ghafar Chandio, Barkat Mirjat and others.

Umrani said that name of Begum Nusrat Bhutto will always be remembered in history in golden words for struggling and rendering unmatched services for cause of restoration of democracy in Pakistan. He said that she challenged Gen Zia’s martial law in a very difficult time when all others were mum.
