Nobody can blackmail govt, election to be held on time: Kh Asif

LAHORE: Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif said general elections would be held on time. Speaking at ceremony, he declared government could not be blackmailed into holding early elections. “Right time to hold early elections was when Mr Khan was ousted of Prime Minister Office”.

He said If Imran Khan wanted to dissolve assemblies, why he did not start with dissolution of KP Assembly. Taking a jibe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, he said Imran Khan was disloyal to country as he used public money for his political ambitions, adding members of PTI in assemblies were as disloyal to country as their leader because they were drawing Rs 500 million a month in salaries.
