No room for ethnic and sectarian violence

It does not need any explanation how important it is to maintain provincial, linguistic, religious and ethnic harmony across the country to deal with the difficult challenges facing Pakistan. Anti-national elements and operatives of anti-Pakistan external forces have been continuously active for a period of time to worsen the situation due to which terrorist acts are taking place day by day. The tragic incident of the killing of 23 passengers belonging to Punjab province in Musa Khel area of ??Balochistan is a fresh increase in these humanitarian incidents. It is the imperative need of the hour to make the actions of the government and military institutions more effective to eliminate the networks behind such nefarious activities.

Like Balochistan, Karachi, the largest city of the country, has been a stronghold of provincial, linguistic, religious and sectarian hatred and terrorism in the past. After the effective measures of the city of three million people, the situation is completely satisfactory in these respects, although the law enforcement agencies have failed miserably in controlling looting and robberies.

However, the latest incident of violence this week central district is a matter of concern.
In this context, just twa mays before Chehlum Imam Hussain RA, the tragic incident of firing after tension between two religious groups in a sensitive area of ??the city and killing two people and injuring nine people in the city has saddened every sensible soul.

In order to maintain harmony, immediate attention is required not only from the government but also from the scholars and socio-political leaders of all walks of life so that malicious elements cannot use this incident as a basis to incite religious differences and worsen the situation.

As a matter of fact, the dear country is currently going through the most difficult period of political instability, economic upheaval and natural trials.
The sad accidents of coaches and vehicles of pilgrims going to and returning from Iran and traveling in the country have left many homes in mourning.

The effects of these shocks were still ongoing that the terrorists attacked many places of Balochistan on Monday and Sunday night and doubled the already existing challenges for the nation and the security forces. According to the initial reports, more than three dozen human lives were shed through sabotage operations.

The biggest and most tragic incident happened in Rara Sham area of ??Musakhel, where the terrorists blocked the national highway and blocked the buses coming from Punjab.  They checked the identity cards of the passengers and shot 23 of them.

All of them are said to be from different areas of Punjab. The vandals also set fire to 10 buses, 6 trucks and 7 other vehicles.  The bridge was blown up, suspending railway traffic between Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Levies police station in Khadkocha was attacked and its records and other property burnt. A tribal figure's house was attacked in Qalat. 6 dead bodies have been found from the mountain of Bolan who were victims of terrorism. One person was killed in an explosion in Quetta. The security forces have taken immediate action and have so far arrested 12 terrorists and their operation is still going on.

Night vision cameras and Modern weapons have been recovered, which suggests that they have the support of an external power which aims to destabilize Pakistan and sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

Apart from passenger buses and a Levies police station, the terrorists also attacked a hotel, a bridge, a toll plaza and a hospital, giving an idea of ??the magnitude of their nefarious intentions.
The attacks were carried out taking advantage of the darkness of the night.

These have taken place at a time when the security forces, and institutions are lined up to expel the anti-national elements under the National Action Plan and the Stability Program and the entire nation is behind them, but there are also political elements who are in the way of these measures to rid the country of terrorism.

It is no longer a secret that anti-Pakistani forces are also helping them. The main hideouts of the terrorists are in Afghanistan, from where they operate in Pakistan. Undoubtedly, they also use local subversive elements for their nefarious purposes.

The infilteration into Pakistan from Afghan territory is also a cause of concern. Yes, due to this infiltration into Pakistan from the territory of Afghanistan, several incidents of terrorism have taken place in a single day.  On the intervening night of August 18 and 19, a group of  terrorist elements tried to infiltrate into Pakistani territory near Bajaur district, which was effectively foiled by the security forces.

In the fierce exchange of fire, 5 terrorists were killed while 4 were injured. During this operation, three brave soldiers of the motherland embraced martyrdom.

In view of the presence of several armed groups in Afghanistan and the situation there, a promise was taken from the Afghan Taliban not to use their territory against others in the Doha talks.

The Afghan Taliban, who gained control of Kabul, have so far failed to hold on to it, and as Pakistan's special representative Asif Durrani pointed out on the sidelines of the Doha summit in June, ISIS, which took root in Afghanistan, has carried out operations in Iran, Moscow and Pakistan.

These operations can take place anywhere in the world. As far as Pakistan is concerned, it is using diplomatic efforts along with effective actions to deal with the attacks of terrorists on its soil.

What is needed is for the world to take measures to prevent another 9/11 instead of waiting for it to happen.  Regional and international forums should support Afghans on many issues, including economic problems, while efforts can be made to avoid new crises including the flood of refugees by coordinating the trade relations of different countries with Afghanistan with measures to prevent terrorism.

Along with continuing effective operations against terrorists, it is also important to address the causes that are causing terrorism.

More steps are required by the Afghan government to stop the activities of the outlawed TTP, for which more effective use of diplomatic channels is required, while solving the problem of missing persons, the root cause of anti-state sentiments in Balochistan should be immediately eliminated.
The new wave of terror is a moment of concern for people of all schools of thought including political parties.

They should leave the politics of gaining or saving power and think for the country first and concentrate their energies to prevent all kinds of negative activities including terrorism.
It is very unfortunate that traffic accidents have become a daily routine, the problem of street crimes and public order is also becoming more serious.  The nation and its leadership have to take a serious attitude to stop their path.
