No political party excluded from polls unless legally barred: PM

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar reaffirmed commitment to an inclusive electoral process, asserting that no major political party would be excluded from participating in upcoming elections unless they were legally barred from doing so.
Addressing press conference to brief media on his recent visit to China and to address pressing political developments in country he said importance of ensuring electoral process proceeds smoothly and fairly and he assured that election date would soon be announced, responsibility he had previously stated would fall under purview of Election Commission of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, caretaker Prime Minister has removed Special Assistant to PM. According to sources, appointment notification of SAPM Tahir Javed has been taken back.
Notification to appoint Tahir Javed as Special Assistant to Prime Minister on investment was issued on October 6.
On September 14, caretaker Prime Minister had removed Shamshad Akhtar as Ministry for Privatisation. Sources had said that Finance Minister was also removed as head of Cabinet Committee on Inter-Governmental Commercial Transactions. Earlier today, caretaker PM said that no major political party was out of political process unless anyone was legally barred, vowing to facilitate upcoming general elections. He made these remarks while addressing press conference called to brief nation regarding his recent visit to China.
