‘No parallel to Pakistan, KSA ties’, says Shehbaz

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s relationship (KSA) has remained “Unparalleled” for past seven decades.
In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya English, PM discussed deep ties between two nations, stressing their unmatched connection. He underscored mutual understanding and shared emotions between two countries.
Speaking of recent talks between two countries’ representatives and business delegations’ visits, premier said that two countries identified areas of cooperation at government-to-government and business-to-business level.
“We now have clear-cut way forward for investment in fields of mines and minerals and renewable energy,” he said.
Moreover, he highlighted agriculture sector’s potential and expressed confidence in collaborative efforts between Pakistan and KSA to boost agricultural production.
PM Shehbaz said, “It has been tradition that any head of state elected in Pakistan has to make their first visit to Kingdom, and this tradition will continue.” PM hailed MBS’s efforts “Backed by his dynamic and visionary leadership in transforming KSA over past eight years”.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif stepped down as President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, paving way for party supremo Nawaz Sharif to be elected as party head. Party leader Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed news in post on X that had premier resignation letter attached.
