No one from FIA appeared in SC in appeal plea against acquittal of Hamid Kazmi

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned hearing of appeal plea against acquittal of former minister of religious affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi till next week due to nonappearance of FIA. Two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan took up case for hearing. No one appeared on behalf of FIA to pursue case.
Additional Attorney General Amir Rehman told court no one from FIA has contacted with reference to case. Senior advocate Latif Khosa told court FIA has no interest in case. No one had appeared in SC in case pertaining to other co-accused Ahmad Faiz. SC had dismissed case due to nonappearance of FIA. Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi remarked what we can say on nonappearance of FIA. Court while giving time to lawyers for preparation adjourned hearing of case till next week.
