No need of any legislation for election after 90 days: Law Minister

ISLAMABAD: Law minister Azam Nazir Tarar said there is no need of any legislation for election after 90 days. “There is no need of any legislation for holding election after 90 days. Respective institutions will have to give solid reasons for not holding election in time, he said this during brief talk with journalists here.
Responding to question about constitutional status of provincial assemblies election after 90 days he said that Constitution makers have declared election which is held after 90 days constitutional election.
He went on to say that any constitutional job does not become unconstitutional for reason that it did not take place within stipulated period. There should be credible reasons on non-completion of constitutional work within stipulated period. There should be no such joke with constitution. Clause is laid down in constitution that there should be solid reasons if constitutional job is not done within stipulated period.
