No compromise on merit, those who work diligently should be encouraged, Aminul Haque

Islamabad: 4th meeting of National Information Technology Board was held in committee room of MoITT chaired by Minister for IT and Telecom Syed Amin ul Haque. Chairman and Board Members welcomed newly elected Chief Executive Officer of NITB, Babar Majid Bhatti. Board also apprised steps taken by CEO, who assumed office on April 10, in first 45 days with excellent vision for improvement of respective sectors.

Amin ul Haque directed to CEO that there should not be any compromise on merit, those who work hard with diligently should be encouraged in organisation and ensure that no action could be taken beyond rules and regulations. He hoped that CEO would take NITB to its desired destination in light of his skills, competence and international experience.

He further said that after getting autonomous status of organisation, its responsibilities have increased. In this case, NITB should market its products properly at domestic and international level so that Made in Pakistan can be highlighted globally as unique brand.

In meeting, NITB, after becoming an autonomous body, rules n regulations, ongoing projects and upcoming projects were discussed in detail and were sent to relevant committees of Board for review.

Secretary IT Navid A. Shaikh, Secretary NTISB Mansoor Sehgal, JEA Science and Technology Zawwar Hussain, former Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Member IT Syed Junaid Imam, Director General to Minister Aftab Rashid attended meeting while Director General Admin and HR Imran Haider and Director General Telecom Faisal Ratiyal assisted board.
