KARACHI: Malik Zaryab Hayat Tiwana receptionist in (BS-11) at National Institute of Child Health (NICH) has become problem child since last many years not only for common visitors but doctors and staff of hospital. His Matriculation certificate has been found bogus by Board of Secondary Education Karachi. Hence, urged for initiation of disciplinary action by Health Department, Sindh.

On June 8, 2023 Executive Director of NICH was directed by Health Department to suspend service of Tiwana and conduct an inquiry against him which shall be finalised within stipulated time period.

On March 2, 2023 Deputy Commissioner East informed Deputy Secretary of Home Department about cancellation of domicile and PRC of Malik Zaryab and requested that his domicile and PRC are cancelled as per law policy accordingly.  Official orders there is long list of criminal offences committed by Malik Zaryab during his service but there was no action taken so far against him why? This is million dollar question.

DSP Kunwar Asif Sarfaraz, Sub-Divisional Police Officer held detailed inquiry against this employee’s long list of offences against visitors of hospital and official staff deputed there. He recommended that Health Department may kindly be requested for dismissing Malik Zaryab from service as action against him on SCN already issued vides ADMN/2017/305/NICH January 28, 2007 under RSO-2000.  Enquiry may be treated as evidence by competent authority having powers to appoint an inquiry officer or inquiry committee under sectin-05 and inquiry officer/committee under powers of section-6 of RSO-2000 may incorporate it.

DSP Kunwar in his report stated that this junior employee of health department has created an unimaginable threatening atmosphere through his bullish tactics and patronage of his political party.

Criminal cases/FIRs on record although under trial but speak for itself that he is troublesome nefarious person.  He created hurdles in availing basic health assistance as he is found involved in road blocks on Rafiqui Shaheed Road. Therefore, in future for safety and security of peaceful environment at hospital and for protection of doctors Malik Zaryab should be removed.
