Newly elected members of PA take oath

LAHORE: Newly elected members of Punjab Assembly including PML-N Chief Organiser and nominated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took oath here.

Speaker Sibtain Khan administered oath. Felicitating newly elected members, Speaker expressed hope that they would come up to expectations of masses.

PML-N has nominated Maryam Nawaz as its candidate for Chief Minister’s slot while Mian Aslam Iqbal is candidate of independent candidates backed by PTI and Sunni Itehad Council. Election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker Punjab assembly will take place today. Election will be held through secret balloting.
