KARACHI: Services, General Administration and Coordination Department Government of Sindh on May 28, 2024 has transferred and posted Sanaullah Rind, an officer of Ex-PCS (BS-19) as Managing Director (BS-19), Sindh Cooperative Housing Authority with immediate effect against an existing vacancy.
Earlier, he was promoted on April 30, 2024 to BS-19 on regular basis, as Deputy Director (Planning and Development), Commissioner Office Hyderabad. Notification has been issued by Chief Secretary Sindh, Asif Hyder Shah. Chief Secretary has also notified posting of Waseemuddin an officer of Ex-PCS (BS-19) as Registrar (BS-19), Cooperative Societies Sindh with immediate effect on May 28, 2024.
He has replaced Zameer Ahmed Abbasi, an officer of PSS (BS-18) who has been transferred and directed to report to Services, General Administration and Coordination Department. Waseemuddin was earlier posted at disposal of Sindh Solid Waste Management Board. Sindh Cooperative Societies has been scandalised by its officials for past many years who were illegally patronising land mafias by grabbing plots in various housing projects and minting money. Immediate past Registrar Zameer Ahmed Abbasi had illegally occupied registrar post of BS-19. He had been unilaterally appointing persons of his choice as administrators on dozens of housing societies without stating any reasons. These administrators started issuing notices to residents to bring their original files for examination and created harassment in metropolitan.
Affected residents protested and approached courts by challenging his above law activities; hence he was removed on Sindh High Court’s action against illegal holding of BS-19 post being an employee of BS-18. Registrar office staff was involved in overlooking corruption in various societies’ administrations and assisting them for illegal occupation on key posts, ignoring their financial embezzlements and running financial matters without auditing or calling general body meetings to run daily management affairs.
