New law can lead to minus Imran, plus Nawaz formula: Sh Rasheed

RAWALPIND: Chief Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that law that came into effect day earlier could result in minus Imran Khan and plus Nawaz Sharif formula. In series of tweets, Rasheed said he was submitting reply to NAB notice received last night. He said he wasn’t present at time Al-Qadir Trust agenda was tabled [before then Cabinet] because he never had any [proper] interaction with Shahzad Akbar accountability czar in Imran government.

Former Interior Minister said that entire nation condemned May 9 episode but ruling alliance comprising 13 parties should not make that political narrative. He said Supreme Court was of stance that no legislation could be made to benefit some specific persons and one would have to see what apex would do on June 1-day its resumes hearing of matter concerning Punjab Assembly elections.

Mr Sharif should return so that daily argument over issue comes to an end, Awami Muslim League Chief remarked but added that former premier had missed train.

He was opinion that there would be no need to explain state of affairs to masses when dollar was available for Rs 312 and 1.8 million flour bags had gone missing. 70 million youth with mobile phones had wisdom to make their own decisions and they could not be fooled, he remarked. Later in day, Rasheed posted another tweet in which he shared copy of his reply to NAB notice, asking him to appear as witness in Al-Qadir Trust case.
