Karachi: Nazimabad Town has mobilised town field staff during rains. Inundated roads and streets were being cleared.

It said. Chairman Syed Muhammad Muzaffar and Vice Chairman Nauman Siddiqui inspected areas. Director Sanitation Zaheer Ahmed, Deputy Director Administration and other relevant officers were also present. Chairman instructed Director Sanitation to drain accumulated water and choking points in densely populated areas should be taken into account. Attention should be paid to drainage and sanitation issues. Parks Department should carry out its responsibilities and rescue personnel should be deployed to maintain flow of traffic during relief operations. In view of weather forecast of more possible rains, Chairman imposed curfew in Town and directed concerned officials to deal situation on emergency basis. Integrated strategy would help to provide relief to public during rainy season and residents of Nazimabad Town would not face problem during season.
