LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif called for full court in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa elections case, stating that two out of three judges of Supreme Court’s bench have given every verdict against him.

Addressing news conference, former premier claimed that decisions of these benches have put Pakistan on brink of destruction and demanded answers from retired judges on why he was disqualified.

Sharif added that this was not just an issue of truck driver, but national issue that required full court. He urged nation to open their eyes to hideous joke being played in country, stating that decisions of bench had turned good nation into beggars. PML-N supremo also spoke about his party’s achievements during his tenure, claiming that they had ended load shedding and terrorism in 2017.

He warned that recent decisions could take country to an uncertain place and said that people needed to take stand.

Sharif criticised lack of funds for medicines for poor and accused judges of giving judgments for sake of one man.

He questioned why Justice Shaukat Siddiqui and General (retd) Bajwa’s words did not deserve suo motu, stating that country was being run on their own wishes. In conclusion, Sharif called on nation to take pledge not to allow such decisions to be made and urged Allah to save country from them.

The former prime minister said that decisions in the past in favour of former prime minister Imran Khan had burdened the nation with debt, forcing the country to beg and plead for every dollar today.

The PML-N supreme leader argued that decisions in the past were made solely for the benefit of PTI chief Imran Khan, and questioned whether the judiciary should continue to make decisions exclusively for him, as he believes decisions are still being made today for the sake of just one person.
