Dubai: Pakistan Muslim League-N and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that after winning upcoming elections, PMLN will end inflation on priority. He held an important meeting with Pakistan Muslim League Gulf delegation here.

PML-N leader was briefed about high morale of party workers based in Gulf countries including UAE. During meeting, delegation inquired about well-being of Nawaz Sharif, while PMLN delegation also met PMLN Senior Vice President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz.

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz discussed strategy of upcoming elections with delegation. Nawaz Sharif assured and said that Muslim League-N will quickly overcome problems of Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif said that he saluted his party workers who were facing difficult situations.

Earlier this week, Nawaz met with Zardari in a hotel located along Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. Highly informed sources had confirmed to The News that the dissolution of assemblies, date of general elections, seat adjustment in Punjab and other important issues were discussed amongst the leaders of the two major political parties. A businessman directly associated with the meetings told The News on the condition of anonymity that many important issues could not be resolved in the meeting between Zardari and Nawaz and the deadlock on many crucial issues still persists.

Some sources have claimed that the PPP and the PML-N leaderships are moving towards a “covenant economy” so that despite political differences, the country’s economic policy remains in one direction.
