Nawaz Sharif submits nomination papers for NA-130 in Lahore

In Lahore, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) presented the nomination papers of their party's leader Nawaz Sharif for NA-130. Bilal Yaseen, a PML-N Lahore representative overseeing the constituency, submitted Sharif's nomination papers to the Returning Officer. Sharif has been summoned for scrutiny of his nomination papers on Tuesday, December 26.
Yaseen stated that Nawaz Sharif intends to contest elections from the National Assembly constituencies of Mansehra and Lahore. Previously, the party filed Sharif's nomination papers for NA-15, Mansehra. Captain (Retd.) Safdar, accompanied by former federal minister Sardar Yousuf and Barrister Jahangir Jadoon, submitted these papers to the Returning Officer.
Additionally, PML-N submitted Maryam Nawaz's nomination papers for Punjab Assembly constituency PP-80 in Sargodha. Local party leader Sohaib Barath presented the nomination papers with Shahpur's Returning Officer.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto, reached Shahdadkot to submit his nomination papers for NA-196. He is expected to visit the RO’s office in a convoy from the Degree College Ground. Bhutto Zardari also plans to file his nomination papers for NA-128, Lahore, with Chaudhry Aslam Gill, Faisal Mir, and Qasim Gillani acting on behalf of the PPP chairman.
Additionally, former President Asif Ali Zardari's nomination papers for NA-207, Nawabshah, have been submitted. Former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani from PPP filed his nomination papers for NA-148, Multan.
Furthermore, PML-N's Ahsan Iqbal lodged nomination papers for NA-76, Narowal, and is also contesting for the provincial assembly seat PP-54, Zafarwal. Another PML-N leader, Khurram Dastagir, submitted his nomination papers for NA-78, Gujranwala.
MQM-Pakistan presented Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui's nomination papers for NA-249 in Karachi. Tariq Mansoor Advocate submitted these papers on behalf of Khalid Maqbool to the returning officer.
