In Islamabad, an accountability court has granted bail to Nawaz Sharif, a prominent figure in the PML-N, in connection with the Toshakhana case.

Judge Muhammad Bashir presided over the proceedings and stipulated that Sharif provide surety bonds amounting to Rs1 million. The court has postponed further hearings until November 20. Sharif voluntarily appeared before the court, accompanied by former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Khawaja Asif. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry acted as Sharif's guarantor in this matter.

Notably, this appearance marked Nawaz Sharif's first presence in an accountability court in a span of four years. During the proceedings, the judge granted Sharif an extension to appear in court.

Furthermore, the Islamabad High Court is slated to address petitions from Nawaz Sharif seeking the reinstatement of his appeals in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references. To handle these petitions, a division bench has been constituted, with Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb presiding. Amjad Pervaiz Advocate, legal counsel for the former prime minister, has submitted these applications, urging the Islamabad High Court to reevaluate his client's appeals and make decisions based on their merits.
