Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, Maryam, Bilawal others strongly condemn firing incident on Imran Khan

LAHORE: Several political leaders, including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Nawaz Sharif and Party’s Vice President Maryam Nawaz have condemned attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan during party’s long march.

Taking to his official Twitter account, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif condemned firing incident on Imran Khan and his companions. He also prayed for recovery of those injured. Maryam Nawaz condemned attack and prayed for speedy recovery of former premier and others injured.

Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari urged authorities concerned to conduct a full investigation. He prayed for speedy recovery of PTI Chairman.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also took to his to condemn incident. “Praying for his swift recovery,” he wrote on Twitter.

In a statement, Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo denounced firing on PTI leadership during long march. Wishing for fast recovery of injured, Bizenjo said perpetrators would be brought to justice without delay.
