Naval Chief, Commander US Navy discuss bilateral maritime cooperation

KARACHI: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and Commander US Naval Forces Central Command Vice Admiral Brad Cooper are committed to developing naval and defence ties.
According to spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, Chief of Naval Staff met with Commander US Naval Forces Central Command. Spokesperson said that during meeting, issues of mutual interest, regional maritime security situation and bilateral maritime cooperation were discussed.
Spokesperson of Pakistan Navy said that in meeting, commitment to further promote mutual naval and defense relations between two countries was reiterated.
Spokesman said that Commander US Naval Forces Central Command congratulated Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi on successful conduct of Exercise Aman 2023 on behalf of Pakistan Navy.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on day-long visit and witnessed international joint naval exercises, AMAN-23. Naval forces of more than 50 countries are participated in exercises.
