No country can afford chaos and bloodshed. It is inevitable to discourage the politics of chaos and disorder.
This creates law and order problems and also severely damages the country’s economy. The PTI leadership has adopted a path of confrontation and believes in chaotic approach to political issues. Informed circles are fully aware that preparations are being made to further deepen the chaos created in the name of politics within the country.
The May 9 mayhem is still haunting the nation. The heat of the events of November 26 is being felt everywhere and now there is talk of launching a civil disobedience movement. Targeting national security institutions and damaging national property during a political confrontation is not politically wise. In this regard, the analysts right to say that the economy that is stabilizing, should not be allowed to be sabotaged. In a high-level meeting held under his chairmanship on the law and order situation in Islamabad, the PM has issued instructions to expedite measures to take action against those who caused riots, damaged public and private property, make the process of identifying those who spread chaos and mischief effective, obtain solid evidence and ensure that no innocent citizen is arrested, provide all possible resources to the task force, and bring the Federal Prosecution under the Ministry of Law.
What is happening in Pakistan and what has happened in the recent past due to political instability is a matter of concern. It is necessary to create an atmosphere of national unity to make the country’s security and prosperity invincible. When one’s own interests are given priority without caring about the interests of the people and the state, chaos is sure to arise. The integrity of the country comes first. In this regard one would agree with the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who has termed political stability as key to economic stability in the country, so that the country can fight terrorism. He is rightly disappointed with the ruling party PML-N over its inadequate economic agenda and security policies.
“The state must function. The PPP’s historic stance has always been ‘dialogue and talks as solution to issues,” he observed. He expressed these views in context of the ongoing political unrest created by the PTI leadership and workers. He has also reiterated his party’s stance of ‘historic opposition’ to banning political parties or dissolving provincial governments to impose governor’s rule. On the contrary, Mr Bhutto-Zardari stressed that the PPP would make concerted efforts to resolve such issues through dialogue, consensual and collaborative efforts. With the situation that emerged as a result of the PTI protest at D Chowk and the propaganda surrounding the loss of lives of hundreds of protesters, it is undoubtedly very welcome that the realization has emerged at the national level that instead of banning any political party and imposing Governor’s rule in any province, political and national understanding is indispensable for lasting peace and stability.
The other day, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed very thought-provoking and intelligent thoughts in this regard. On the occasion of the party’s foundation day, he said that we are not in favor of Governor’s rule in any province and banning any political party. Political stability in the country is necessary, whether the government and the opposition negotiate for this or have to use force. He called for a new National Action Plan to eradicate terrorism and said regarding the recent PTI march that what happened in Islamabad in the past few days does not come under politics. A provincial government was attacking its own federation. Never in history have we seen such an irresponsible provincial government. There are more than 100 bodies in Parachinar and they are searching for the bodies in Islamabad. Coincidentally, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi also expressed the need for reconciliation between political forces the other day.
The PTI leader, who has been under detention in several cases for a long time, spoke to the media after appearing in the anti-terrorism court in Lahore and stressed on national reconciliation and national consensus to achieve political stability and said that banning PTI would be a political and historical mistake. He said that he hopes that politically conscious people will oppose the idea of ??imposing Governor’s rule and warn their leadership that it will be a political and historical mistake. He requested that I be given an opportunity to meet the party’s founder Imran Khan to present my point of view regarding national reconciliation and consensus. Undoubtedly, the experiences of banning political parties and overthrowing elected governments in the provinces in the past have always been detrimental to the country. All political parties should take steps towards national reconciliation with good intentions.
It cannot be denied that the only obstacle that has been standing in the way of national and political reconciliation for years is the unwavering stance of the founder of the PTI not to talk to political forces. Therefore, the offer of the party’s Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi is very valuable that if given a chance, he can try to persuade his leader to talk about national reconciliation. National interest demands that the government provide him with this opportunity and all possible support for its success without delay, because political and national reconciliation is indispensable for the end of political chaos and terrorism and for lasting peace and stability. Meanwhile, experts say that when the storm passes, the force of the wind decreases or the flood subsides, the immediate response is to take care of the remaining things and repair the damage.
November 26 has passed, now what is left must be saved and what has been lost must be restored through repair and reform. Further disruption, further chaos, further fighting, further rallies and sit-ins must stop now. The federal government should end the plans to impose Governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the other hand, Ali Amin Gandapur should also stop his daily attacks on the federation along with the provincial government machinery. The patience of the federation and the authorities has run out. If there is a plan to attack Islamabad again and then even think about bringing a group to loot the capital, then it has been decided that Governor’s rule will be imposed in Pakhtunkhwa. Gandapur openly and in private gatherings also says that he has to do what Khan has said, someone should go and explain to Khan that you have voters in Punjab too, not a single person came out in central Punjab, not even a procession was seen.
You used to have votes in Karachi too, not even a single convoy came from there, the vast majority of them, i.e. 35 thousand, came from Pakhtunkhwa and the only reason for this was the presence of your provincial government there. if the provincial government continues to go, then the situation of PTI in Pakhtunkhwa will be the same as it was in Punjab and Karachi.
