KACHHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that during current situation which arose after monsoons and , entire nation was working in unison and inspiration to overcome problems which was very important.

PM visited Balochistan to review restoration work of flood-affected road and railway infrastructure.

Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) Khurram Agha gave detailed briefing to PM during an aerial view of damaged railway bridge in Bibi Nani and restoration work on Pinjra Bridge which was completely swept away by floods.

PM Shehbaz also visited Kachhi district of province, where he was briefed about work underway for restoration of damage caused by unprecedented floods.

Expressing his view after getting briefing from relevant authorities over reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts of road, rail and bridges infrastructure in area, he said that it was a matter of satisfaction that all people had been involved to overcome enormous issues after natural calamity hit country.

Appreciating efforts of district administration authorities and others, he said their commitment and devotion had been a source of inspiration for general public.

He said that he saluted all those who had been involved in relief and rehabilitation efforts. Chief Minister and chief secretary had been coordinating and working with all relevant authorities, he added.

He announced Rs 5 million relief grant for labourers who were working there in difficult situation and another amount of Rs one million for staff that was working for restoration of gas pipelines. A committee would be set up to dispense amount on merit.

He appreciated NHA, law enforcement jawans and other authorities who restored damaged bridge within 8 hours, adding that they did a great national service.

Chief Minister thanked PM for visits and continuous support to flood-affected areas of province. He said FC personnel had played a major role in restoration of connectivity- bridge. He announced Rs 2 million for labourers and workers.
