ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb congratulated nation on completion of 50 years of 1973 Constitution. “It is book of rights of people and duties of state institutions, it is guarantor of unity and consensus, justice and fairness, equality and freedom”, she said in tweet. This is promise with Allah Almighty that sovereignty belongs only to Him, this authority will be exercised by people through elected representatives, she said. She said that due to deviation from Constitution in past, country and nation suffered lot and faced disharmony, deprivations, terrorism, economic destruction and inflation.

By deviating from Constitution, institutions were destroyed and justice was replaced by injustice, she maintained. She said that today nation should pledge that during next 50 years, mistakes of past 50 years will be corrected and sufferings of nation will be healed.
