Nation should get ready for spiralling inflation: Imran Khan

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and Imran Khan has asked masses to be prepared for spiraling inflation. Addressing nation via video link, he lambasted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying latter was preparing nation for more inflation.

Imran Khan reminded PM Shehbaz of his speeches during PTI’s tenure, adding if enemies would not be dealt with way coalition government did in past 10 months.

Recalling his ouster, Khan said, “Shehbaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari toppled PTI’s government by joining hands with foreign powers.”

Comparing his tenure with current regime, Khan said, “Today country is witnessing inflation three times greater than during PTI’s tenure.”

Imran Khan criticised government’ and said s promises to improve country by reducing number of government vehicles and selling land, calling these plans misleading.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with coalition government, claiming that they had conspired against his own government. According to him, PM Shehbaz Sharif, PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and Qamar Javed Bajwa were involved in alleged conspiracy. Furthermore, Imran Khan condemned current government’s actions, stating that even an enemy would not have done what has happened in country in last 10 months.

He also accused leadership of coalition government of having their corruption cases dismissed after coming to power. Imran Khan criticised government’s plans to improve country and accused them of conspiring against his own government.  Public response to Khan’s call for movement which critics see as yet another ploy to stay politically relevant in these trying times indicates that his narrative and persuasive power still hold appeal and resonance.

“Such message and appeal do convince people to come out of their comfort zones and contribute to cause. One may disagree with some policies of PTI but Imran Khan’s overall narrative has an appeal of its own,” says supporter.
