Nation development possible only thru promotion of higher education: Gov Tessori

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that development of country and nation is possible only through promotion of higher education. It is impossible to deny importance of higher education in this era. In this regard, Jinnah University for Women is playing a key role in promotion of higher education. Addressing function of Jinnah University for Women he said that these glowing faces of yours, these colourful clothes, this enthusiasm all is telling how much you love your motherland and how far you can go for its integrity and survival. Commitment and your intentions are guarantee of protection of this country. He said that this day also reminds us that foundation of Pakistan is on law, Constitution and democracy. He said that our parents left this land. Democratic struggle for achievement of Pakistan and made immense sacrifices. They gave their lives, left their homes and went to desert. He said that happiness you are celebrating, happiness you are sharing, sense of security and prosperity behind it is result of sacrifices of our ancestors. He said that Allama Iqbal’s dreams and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah are metaphors for this struggle, but this story is incomplete without mentioning leaders of action and action like Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and Maulvi Riazuddin Ahmed.
I congratulated you for continuous cultivation of this cradle of knowledge and literature. I want to pay tribute to your father Maulvi Riazuddin Ahmed on his vision. He added that other members of Maulvi Riazuddin Ahmed’s family are also working day and night to advance and develop this institution.
Meanwhile, Tessori said that instead of lights, Karachi is becoming city of criminals and residents of this city are longing for basic facilities. Addressing seminar organised by Pakistan Media Development Foundation he said that despite presence of sea, drinking water is not available to residents and there is no electricity, gas or infrastructure. He said that there is no authority to solve problems, intention and intention are necessary. In this regard, I am going to every forum to highlight problems of Karachi. Prime Minister will come to Karachi soon and meet all stakeholders. Later PMDF Chairperson Dardana Shahab explained aims and objectives of seminar.
Senator Nisar Khoro, Dr. Mirza Akhtar Baig, senior journalists Mazhar Abbas, Imtiaz Faran and others participated in seminar.
