Nasir Shah shows displeasure over non-completion of development schemes timely

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Development and Planning Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that strict departmental action would be taken against concerned officers who do not complete all ongoing development schemes in province as per target.
In meeting of P&D to review development schemes he expressed his displeasure at non-completion of development schemes on time and reprimanded concerned officers. He and said that all ongoing development schemes in province should be completed within given time frame with quality otherwise they will deal strictly with lax officers. Minister said he stand by officers who are performing well, if they face any problem, they can contact their chairman or me. “I am not in favor of revising development schemes, delaying tactics not only increase estimates and cost but also cause people to face difficulties along with loss of wealth.” According to vision and instructions of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, we have to take all possible steps to provide relief to people. Only way to provide relief to people and save them from injury through development schemes to be completed on time. Minister said he will soon visit schemes which have been completed along with Chairman P&D. He said that schemes which are lagging behind should be completed. List of schemes which are stalled due to lack of budget or for any other reason will be given to them, they will make every possible effort to remove all obstacles.
In meeting, ongoing development schemes of P&D were reviewed and it was decided that all schemes will be completed after legal requirements. Rural development, model villages, SFERP schemes were also reviewed and strict instructions were given to complete each PC1. Pace of Peoples’ Square project and revenue collection was also reviewed. In meeting, it was discussed to coordinate and stabilise underground parking system in parking plaza and especially near Zainab Market to provide parking facilities to people. Emphasis was also placed on developing mechanism for revenue collection and maintenance of parking facilities
