Naqvi holds security, anti-drug talks with Saudi counterpart

RIYADH: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Saudi Arabia's Interior Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, in Riyadh yesterday to discuss matters of security cooperation and combating drug trafficking.
The two leaders reviewed the ongoing efforts in both countries to enhance collaboration in the fight against drug trafficking and other security concerns.
They expressed mutual interest in strengthening their strategic partnership to tackle these critical issues.
During the meeting, Minister Naqvi highlighted the deep-rooted religious and cultural ties between the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the long-standing support Pakistan has received from Saudi Arabia in times of need.
He expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its consistent assistance and extended his best wishes to Saudi Arabia for its visionary leadership and the well-being of its people.
The Saudi delegation included Deputy Interior Minister Nasser Al-Dawood, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Dr. Khalid Al-Batal, Director of Public Security Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Bassamy, and Major General Muhammad Al-Qarni, Director General of Drug Control.
On the Pakistani side, Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, Director General of Passport and Immigration Mustafa Jamal Qazi, and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Riffat Mukhtar Raja also attended the meeting.
