In resolute tone, Naqvi emphasised necessity for impartial actions against officers implicated in overbilling and said that negligence would not be tolerated at any cost.

He stressed paramount importance of offering relief to electricity consumers subjected to overbilling, signaling shift towards prioritising consumer welfare. Moreover, he issued clear directives to escalate efforts in combating electricity theft, urging officials to pursue all perpetrators, including government personnel, with equal rigor.
